The City Population

The first chronological mention about Kishinev is referred to 17 July
1436, where the town was characterized as being populated by the Romanian. The Moldovan
always were the majority of the city population among many other nationalities, settled
here much later. In 1772 out of 114 yards registered in Kishinev, 10 related to the
Armenian, 3 - Jewry, 3- Gypsy and 1 yard pertained by the Greece family.
