The Monuments of Kishinev
The Monument to V.I. Lenin
It was put on 11 October 1949 in the Central Square in front of the House of Government (currently, the Square of the Great National Meeting). The monument if made of the Ural red granite. The authors are sculptor S. Merkulov and architect A. Shusev and V. Turchaninov. In 1991 the monument was dismanled and for the time being is located in the territory of "Moldexpo" Free Enterprize Zone.
