St. George Church, built in 1818, staggers with its severity that is felt in all the elements of solution of its decoration and architecture. The mirror-like surface of high walls is only divided by the flat pilasters that undrscore the hight of the building and give it strictness.

The church was built for the money of Bulgarian and Moldovan population. The date of its building is the subject of disputes among scientists. There is an opinion that the church was built in the XVII century.

In the nave solution, where the bays were made in the southern and nothern walls, overlapped with the dome on the high drum, there are the features, typical for the XVII architecture. The presence of the vertical accents to be expressed, the eurhythmics of the church front is typical for the architecture of the XIX century. So, in the architectural solution of St. George Church, the approaches, typical for the classicism and the Moldovan traditional architecture.
